I truly belive that people begin a drug or alcohol addiction because they are self medicating. Maybe its for pain or depression. But I also believe it starts as a choice. There are other avenues one could take but they chose this route. Then it becomes a disease because they cant stop. Whatever the case its all sad. Well coming from a person who lost a daughter to drugs, who by the way I had in rehab (3) times each and everytime she came out we had her in a family home away from the origins of the start of it she chose to return to it and the friends she drugged with. IT COST MY FAMILY MORE THEN YOU WILL EVER KNOW. Money trust of people I could go on. In addition she left a small child behind which we as a family have now to raise. If you say you need to help, reality is you can but if they CHOOSE not to stop it is on them. I dont need your comments either because I know and have lived this nightmare and continue to every birthday mothers day, christmas and day by day. They have to want to help themselves too. You need to open your eyes people and quit enabling and making excuses. I KNOW. BEEN THERE DONE THAT AND NOW SHE HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 2 YEARS 29 YEAR OLD MOM NAMED KURSTEN. I did what I could.
