On Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 1631 hours, police officers responded to the area of Chandler Road near the intersection of Hyson Road for a report of a motorcycle accident with unknown injuries. Initial officers on scene found the driver of the motorcycle lying in the roadway, unconscious but breathing.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 2019 Harley Davidson was traveling west bound on Hyson Road when it crashed turning right on Chandler Road (north bound). The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Jersey Shore Trauma Center via helicopter.

The name of the driver is being withheld at this time.

In addition to JPD officers, Jackson Fire Company Station 55, Quality First Aid, and MONOC Paramedics also responded to the scene.

The crash is under investigation by P.O. Donald Lasko of the Jackson Township Police Dept. Traffic Safety Bureau, overseen by Sgt. Richard Bosley of the Traffic Bureau.
