I was there just this fall for fines and the guy they booked before me smuggled in almost a whole bundle under his balls. I had to sign a paper to allow them to do the search.

I absolutely refused to be be strip searched my last visit. 3 Co’s made sure I did get stripped and then got sent to the hole for 7 days. So yes they still strip search.I think it depends on your charges going in.

If a prisoner comes in for temporary custody like child support. Those prisoners are only patted down. Officials can not perform a strip search. Dirt bags know the system.

By NJ LAW 10A crime must be 4th degree or higher to be strip searched. in OCJ they can not be strip searched for “child support” in booking. You can voluntarily agree to strip searched or decline. Once they’ve been processed – say a problem arises, the whole dorm would be subject to mandatory strip

The only way drugs could get into ocean county jail is either staff or volunteers who go into the jail. There are no contact visits there all visit gets done via television.
