At approximately 2:06 am on Sunday December 29, 2019, officers responded to the parking lot of the Jackson Crossing plaza located at 21 South Hope Chapel Road on the report of gunshots.
Officers arrived on scene and learned that a 20 year old male and 44 year old male had been shot after a disturbance occurred at an event being held at the plaza. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment for their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and any additional information to be released will be via the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
- The media and the public are reminded that any persons arrested or charged with any offenses or crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

How is this possible in a state with some of the strictest gun laws.

Danny Binetti it depends. Do they still have all their body parts and blood. Because when i applied for mine it was turned down after almost a year which is against the law that the state made.
