DOUBLE STABBING – SUSPECT WANTED
Last night at approximately 11 pm, this agency received a telephone call from Lakewood Police reporting two stabbing victims were transported to Monmouth Medical Southern Campus by private parties. Both victims, a 26 year old male from Brick and a 27 year old male from Howell received stab wounds during a physical altercation at #358 Ford Road in Howell.
Howell units responded to the hospital to discover that the Howell victim received an injury to his hand. The victim from Brick suffered multiple stab wounds to his back. None are considered life threatening at this time. He was treated at the hospital where he currently remains.
The suspect has been identified as 26 year old Jackson resident Ricardo Cruickshank
Through investigation, it was discovered Ricardo Cruickshank became aggressive with a female at a house party at #358 Ford Rd. Both victims intervened and a physical altercation ensued. During this, Cruickshank produced a knife and stabbed both victims.
Initial contact with the suspect was made. We gave him the opportunity to turn himself in. As of this release, he has not done so. Now, we will go get him.
Cruickshank has been charged with aggravated assault with a weapon (2nd degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (3rd degree) and possession of a weapon (4th degree).
