Jersey City: The Jersey City Police Officer killed in the line of duty today during an active shooting stand off has been identified as 40 year old Detective Joseph Seals. He joined the police force in 2006 in the South District and was promoted to Detective in 2017.
Detective Joseph Seals was a North Arlington Resident and he leaves behind a wife and 5 children.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Detective Joseph Seal’s family and loved ones.

These officers are afraid to pull their guns out on anybody because of the consequences. They made such strict laws and that’s why all this nonsense happens.
