Jersey Shore Online has an update to our story we posted last night about the suspect whom fled on foot from TRPD during an MV Stop.
TOMS RIVER – Authorities are on the hunt for a suspect who fled police pursuit on foot after an attempt at a motor vehicle stop.
Jillian Messina of the Toms River Police Department told Jersey Shore Online that on Nov. 11, at approximately 9:45 p.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing an erratic driver traveling west on Route 37 near Vaughn Ave.
“The driver tried eluding police before eventually pulling over and fleeing from the vehicle,” said Messina.
Police have identified the driver as 53-year old Peter O’Neill of Toms River. A search for O’Neill by the Toms River Police, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and Island Heights Police Department yielded no results.
There is currently a warrant out for O’Neill’s arrest.
