LAKEHURST – Authorities responded to yet another car versus house incident over the weekend, this time in Lakehurst.

  On Nov. 10 at around 8 p.m., Lakehurst Police responded to 2202 Pinehurst Estates for reports of a vehicle that drove into a residence. Once on the scene, police observed a 2014 Honda Accord that exited the parking lot and drove into the residence through the living room. 

  According to police, the driver was already out of the vehicle by the time they arrived and was not injured during the incident. While the residence was occupied at the time of the accident, no one inside was injured.

The residence sustained moderate damage and the local building inspector declared it uninhabitable due to the damage. 

  The cause of the accident is still under investigation by Officer Hernandez and Officer Guide.
