LITTLE EGG HARBOR – An Atlantic City man was recently arrested during a motor vehicle stop that yielded large amounts of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.

  On Oct. 10, during a narcotics related investigation, members of the Little Egg Harbor Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Scotch Pine Drive. A search of the vehicle, a four-door black KIA, resulted in the seizure of 513 bags of heroin, nine bags of crack cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, and a scale.

  Police arrested 28-year old James E. Whitfield of Atlantic City. Whitfield was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and one count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute.

  The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Little Egg Harbor Street Crimes Unit, and Patrol Division.
