Jackson Police Department Patrol Blotter

The following is a sample of incidents that Patrol Officers recently responded to or were involved with. This does not represent all of the calls for service that were responded to during this time period. Any persons arrested or charged with offenses are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additionally, except in specific circumstances, arrest and complaint information filed with the court is public information and names of those charged may be released.

Thursday October 24:

  • ASSAULT: At 0930 hours, officers responded to the report of a physical dispute at a residence on Brookfield Drive. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 36 year old female who was charged with simple assault. She was processed and released on summons pending a court appearance.
  • THEFT: At 2358 hours, officers responded to a residence on East Veterans Highway on the report that a vehicle reported stolen by the owner, had been returned by the male suspect who was currently at the residence. The 32 year old male was placed under arrest and he was charged with the theft of the vehicle. He also had outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Monmouth County and Ocean County. He was turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
  • On this date, officers also responded to 12 motor vehicle crashes throughout the township.

Friday October 25:

  • FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY: At 1118 hours, a resident reported that unknown suspect(s) had attempted to open multiple accounts for phone service and a several stores in her name. The accounts were canceled after the victim had been contacted by Lifelock and advised that the accounts were not hers.
  • WELFARE CHECK/CRISIS INTERVENTION: At 1235 hours, officers responded to a residence in the township on the report of a welfare check. The victim was located and appeared to be under the influence of a large amount of medication that she had taken on purpose in an attempt to harm herself. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
  • FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY: At 1609 hours, a resident reported that he had been contacted by Verizon in reference to an overdue account in an amount in excess of $800.00 which had been opened in his name by unknown suspect(s).
  • DWI: At 1814 hours, Police Officer Falzarano conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2007 Honda which he had observed being operated erratically on East Veterans Highway. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the 34 year old female driver. The vehicle was impounded and she was processed and charged with: driving while intoxicated, open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and refusal to submit to breath testing. She as processed and released on summons pending a court appearance.
  • OVERDOSE: At 2123 hours, officers responded to the report of a male subject who had overdosed on heroin inside an abandoned trailer on Lewis Lane. An unresponsive 33 year old male was located and Narcan was administered. The male was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.
  • THEFT: At 2231 hours, officers responded to the WaWa on North Countyline Road on the report of employee theft. During the investigation, a 54 year old male was arrested and charged with theft. He was processed and released on summons pending a court appearance.

Saturday October 26:

  • HARASSMENT: At 0235 hours, officers responded to a residence on Cranberry Harvest Court on the report of a disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 51 year old male who was processed and charged with harassment. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
  • CRISIS INTERVENTION: At 0404 hours, officers responded to a residence in the township on the report of a 31 year old male who had made threats to harm himself. The male was located and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
  • MVC/DWI: At 1515 hours, officers responded to Patterson Road on the report of a motor vehicle crash. The investigation resulted in a 51 year old male driver being placed under arrest. He was processed and charged with: driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and refusal to submit to breath testing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
  • ASSAULT: At 2121 hours while assigned to a detail at Six Flags Great Adventure, officers responded to a report of a physical dispute. The investigation resulted in an 18 year old male being arrested and charged with simple assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
  • On this date, officers also responded to 7 motor vehicle crashes throughout the township.
  • The media and the public are reminded that any persons arrested or charged with any offenses or crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
