South Toms River: It has come to our attention that the 7-11 in town has closed. The signs have been removed and windows have been papered. All indications that this used to be a 7-11 have been removed from the property. Likely a result of competition from the new Wawa.

I heard from an owner of another 7 11 that the guy Sonny that owned it for a long time sold it back to corporate a few years ago.

Heard a while that ownership was looking to sell. I guess they couldn’t. It’s never a good thing when competition is lost. Hopefully this doesn’t start vacant for long.
Michael De Fortuna corporate took it over more than a year ago.
I can personally attest that the reason their sales went down is cause whomever did the ordering to keep the store stocked sucked ass at their jobs. Drove loyal customers away.
