Toms River: We’re sad to announce that Wolfie’s Deli & Restaurant is set to close on October 31. OCSN first broke this story last year when the owner was attempting to originally sell the restaurant. It appears there weren’t any buyers, or plans have changed.
The original Wolfie’s was located in the Dover Mall down the hallway from Bradlee’s. As that shopping center deteriorated, they relocated to their current location on NJ 37. Wolfie’s is on NJ 37 Eastbound just after the Hooper Avenue intersection next to Popeyes.
Try to get there one last time and enjoy a delicious meal before the doors close for good. As for the future- Another Popular restaurant will be taking over the location!
Maybe the Chef Ramsey will buy
Gina Marie
Valerie Cruz oh snap
Oh no! Tommy!!! I gotta get there and get all their mustard
What’s going to happen to the Choo choo train ??
17:30- Article has been updated to reflect the future plans for the property.

The sandwiches were way too small for the price .
Michael Anthony Santucci agreed! I was not too happy last time I went there! The sandwich had hardly any meat.
Last time I went there 2 subs cost almost $50. Never went back
Sacheen Welch and I asked for no mustard and they put it on . I paid 13$ for a sandwich with sliced bread and corn beef .
Sacheen Welch you like meat?
Michael Anthony Santucci I believe that.
David Meyer yes sir ??
Last time we went the matzo ball soup was nasty. Soup was all grease and no taste and the matzo ball you could have killed someone with
Corned beef was also mostly fat
I’ll drive up to Harold’s in Edison
Christine Hinds I ain’t going that far for a sammich
Christine Hinds yeah they had the soup cooking all day long on the stove . I went to Harold’s once and it was amazing
I could never find the place that’s probably why lol
Stewart has been doing this a long time so sad t5o see the place close but well deserved. Happy to See Burger 25 move in there, they can really use the space and the additional parking Well Dome Burger 25, Our favorite Burger place as well!
Tim Reid is burger 25 moving or expanding?
I thought there were new owners
Thomas McMurray no, they were looking for new owners a year ago . You might be thinking about Toms River diner that has new owners
Desiree Domer no I was told wolfie had new owners , but I guess not
There tongue was tough.
Original owner sold it years ago anyway. Never was the same after even leading up to the last few years the wolf family owned it
Stewart is the son of the original owners as well as Susan his sister. So I don’t know what you’re talking about. It is and was a family business.
Rag Ve same owner its been in the family for over 50 years
Adriane De Simone Wagner I was told they sold it a few years back. Neither way its s shame to see it go

Suggested by many so we tried. What a terrible meal. Spent over $100 for five people (lunch) and food was barely touched. Staff was so friendly we didn’t have the heart to complain. But never went back
Jonathan Orlick that was my issue it was extremely pricey. If I’m going to get an expensive meal like that i would go somewhere to get some steak of great seafood.
I love giving my money to small business and supporting local business. I will say I never bash a place on the net. But this place was a total train wreck. We left all the food there. Didn’t take the 90% of food we didn’t eat. Left a great tip for the friendly staff. Staff wasn’t the issue here. Just never went back and would not suggest. Actually shocked they stayed this long since my experience was over a year ago
I really liked the food but for a family of five it was very expensive so it was a one and done for us.

I guess Gordon Ramsey went to the wrong place…..he should have stopped at Wolfies and fixed it up better
Why are so many places going out of business? ??
No competition here. Overpriced for typical entrees. They threatened to close years ago. The whole area needs renovation.

My Mom loved Wolfies back when it was by Bradlees (shoprite on 37). Used to take her all the time. Haven’t been there in a couple of years. Sad.
Probably because it’s awful now. Maybe years ago it was good. C&G’s is way better.
