Toms River: Bey Lea Plaza is hopping again with the recent opening of Burlington this month. The property manager has some plans to lease out the vacant space, and the old Babies R Us is going to be subdivided. Encore Dental will occupy 7,000 square feet of the vacant store, with 18,000 square feet left available for lease.
There is also a plan for a new pad site facing Hooper between Wells Fargo and the Vitamin Shop. This is a 3,500 square foot piece of vacant land, which is perfect for a Chick-Fil-A if you ask me! While a Encore Dental isn’t very exciting for retail, it sure beats an empty building.
Good news!
I second your vote for chic fil a
Michele Conticello-Stich I vote yay!
Michele Viventi you get extra points for being a Husker fan!
Gregory Mellas GO BIG RED!!!
Burlington is such garbage. There is one right down Hooper in Brick. They couldn’t attract a higher class retailer?! (sorry to be the Debbie Downer… wa was waaaa)
Michele Viventi I felt the same way. I have to say though it’s REALLY nice. Makes the brick store look like a dumpster.
Lindsay Tate does it have better quality merch?
Miss doing your classes mama!
Michele Viventi I think so unless the presentation was just better lol
Michele Viventi I know! It was so much fun!!
Lindsay Tate I guess I have to check it out. Havent been having any luck at Marshall’s lately, either ?
Michele Viventi annoying. I’m not a huge shopper but obv need to do it at times.
Lindsay Tate same
Michele Viventi I agree Marshall’s has been a big let down lately ?

Chik fil a!! Chik fil a!!
Shirlene Greene Leach overrated
Toms river has really gone down hill. Can”t we get more good restaurant no we get a dental office. It sad other towns are doing great?
Bill Roncskevitz or Walgreens or Cvs ??♀️
The problem is Toms River has a low median household income due to the senior population. Companies loom at zip codes & say we don’t have the income to support their store. But we want these stores!
Yeah because a another dental office in a retail area is just what we need in this town.
Went there the other day seen nothing as fsr clothes or throw rugs i like and the so called name brand clothing is knock off made in china or Thailand or some other over seas country
Brick Town got all the restaurants back in the 80s I was told due to the over regulation of the planning and zoning boards
What a waste of great space ?
Could’ve been a Trader Joe’s ?????
Chic fila or cracker barrel
Bricktown has so many more stores closer. We have several shopping centers with numberous empty stores. We don’t need more wawa, dentists, banks, liquor stores. We need more activities for kids, like roller skating,Dave n busters etc.Stop tearing down woods and use the empty spaces. What about Golden Corral.
Diana Lipman-Malko ???

Brick took off and Toms River didn’t because of the whole “Dover Township” thing. Read a few articles years back that conflicting demographics confused businesses with DT/TR overall population and income. After the voters agreed to change from Dover Township to Toms River Township did we get some new restaurants and shops!
