Dispatch is also warning all responding units to use caution due to an abundance of syringes laying all over.
Ocean County Scanner News Jesus
Ocean County Scanner News every time I respond the first thing I look for is needles and it’s rare that I don’t find at least one on the floor. They need to start making metal inserts into our shoes
Angel Helene Cooper the needles are thin and not strong. (Assuming it’s a diabetic syringe, which is what addicts are able to purchase) if you step on it, there’s no way it’ll go through unit shoe. Not plausible
Real fuckin pillars of humanity. Fuckin scum should be thrown in jail and left there like the animal they are
Christopher John Karbownik Thats mighty humanitarian of you. How about stop treating addicts as criminals and favor actual treatment over ridiculous jail sentences. These people need help not cages. You want to persecute someone for the epidemic then lock up the government that brings the drugs here daily. ???
Sharon Lynn Huber I’m guessing you are not in EMS.
Angel Helene Cooper exactly !
?
Horrible ?
?
Does anyone know if EMS in NJ receive hazard pay or a stipend? If not, It’s “high” time that they do.
Kevin Karlick they know what they are in for. No one is forced to work as an EMT.
NJ Paramedics get Shit for Pay, I know because my Daughter is one of them??
That’s horrible…sounds like quite a mix if two doses of narcan are not enough….
Out of control
Dirty junkies
OMG…..
So what’s the going rate for 2 doses of narcan… Or is it still free so they can shoot up again tomorrow. Where is the consequences for overdosing?
Danalynn Post tomorrow??? They have plenty of time for a repeat tonight
Patrick Brennan true.. Since they dont even get hauled off to jail. Ready to shoot up by 630pm. Overdose again by 7
Before they decide to go forward on this , they should stop by the nearest funeral home and make arrangement, there is sale today on caskets
Danalynn Post wow such compassion. Probably cost less than EMTS police and fire for accidents from speeders or drunk drivers.
What value do we place on a human life.
EMTS are paid to stabilize patient and transport. We can only hope and pray that they get the help they need. I know lots of addicts that have been given that one chance and have turned their lives around.
Annette Crawford Hall all while they do illegal drugs. Zero compassion. Why would i have compassion for repeat offenders? ?? #PopulationControl
Annette Crawford Hall Lol. Maybe a very few , but not most
What is the price that these EMTS are paying seeing this endless parade of overdosing.God they have to be strong!
??
Enough already. Get the dealers and give them the death penalty. If a junkie dies , the dealer dies. Then maybe it will slow down or stop.
What about the man dying 2 houses down because he’s out of insulin? How about we treat the man who didn’t do diabetes on purpose.. Why waste resources on drug addicts?
I do hope they are ok. But I have to wonder how much these cost? I was told they don’t carry epi pens in most ambulances because they are too expensive. So if we have an anaphylactic reaction, we have to call for advanced life support.
