Lakewood: A truck filled with chickens/roosters slated for slaughter arrived at Bingo Wholesale today in preparation for the 2:00 sale. It was met with protests and we’re hearing word that the sale has been shut down! Hopefully the protestors will move onto the next scheduled sale location.
No word on what happened to the truck filled with birds.

Scott Therrien it’s not protesting the sale of the food but the way in which the whole ritual is performed. The chickens are basically put on display & then chosen. Then they swing the chicken around their head while reciting a prayer & slaughter them all out in the open as a big “performance “. It’s done on the eve of Yum Kippur.
