Today we rescued this baby after a Good Samaritan in Lakewood found school children hurting this poor baby they were sticking sticks up his rectum and they damaged his jaw by tossing him around and kicking him. They are so lucky I didn’t witness this myself or I would probably be in jail at this moment kids or not any person that can do something so horrible to an innocent animal deserves same done to them! The Good Samaritan did file a police report I am so mad this guy was examined by my boss today dr Cummings and if he doesn’t pass a stool by tomorrow we will have an X-ray done Dr behan at Barnegat animal clinic will examine him tomorrow. This poor kitten has been thru so much we at calling all cats will make sure we do everything to make sure he is safe for the rest of his life. You evil children I hope you rot in hell.”

It was well over 85 degrees that day, BTW! Luckily a coworker heard his cries and saved him, I later got him adopted by a family member. The shelter she called named him Hefty and couldn’t believe he survived such abuse. There were a group of kids that kept leaning over the fence, nervously checking to see what was going on. It was pretty obvious to see they had done it. To this day I am haunted by what happened to the kittens litter mates as we could only locate the one.

My wife is Jewish and the thing that gets me is that Hasidics don’t observe other sects of the religion as even being Jewish. The religion (or race or ethnicity) of offenders has absolutely nothing to do with the offense UNLESS it is used as an excuse for either harsher or more lenient punishment. For example, it’s fairly common for African-Americans to receive harsher sentences than white offenders, and this is absolutely wrong. The phenomenon known as “white privilege” has no place in a democratic society. On the other hand, Lakewood has a high percentage of Jewish residents & city officials. If the offenders are Jewish & this results in them receiving a lighter sentence than this crime deserves, then that is wrong and unacceptable & should result in strong protests by all citizens of Lakewood, both Jewish and non-Jewish. Prejudice and favoritism are two sides of the same coin. A group that shows favoritism toward their own members can’t in good conscience complain about being prejudiced against by members of other groups.
