The child luring incident from the Georgetown section of Toms River this weekend has been fully investigated by our Detective Bureau. The person of interest has been identified and interviewed along with members of his family. It has been determined that there was no criminal intent to lure or cause any harm to the children.
At the conclusion of the investigation all parents and children involved have been updated of the outcome. These children acted appropriately doing exactly what they should have done when approached by a stranger. We commend them for their actions and their parents for alerting authorities.

I don’t buy it. Why did he stop his car and speak with two children 500 feet apart. I live on the block that this occurred and there was no reason for this person to stop and speak with two children. No adult should ever approach a child they don’t know. Even if he had intent to harm these children do we really think he would tell the police??
Melissa Bloom weird the other article I read said they’ve identified the guy and questioned and is no harm but at the bottom says if you see the vehicle or description of the guy to call police ?
Melissa Bloom exactly what was his reasoning for stopping and approaching two children? So they interviewed him and he denied any wrong doing intent? Then they asked his family and they said “no no he’s a stand up guy?” It was either his first attempt at luring a child or he’s just never been caught.

I lived here in Toms River 14 years, I still have ppl asking me directions…Not a clue where anything is STILL…I tell ppl who pull upto me now that I just got out of solitary confinement and missed 30 years of my life…Seems to work cuz they leave fast
