BRICK – A 19-year-old township woman remains in serious condition at a shore area trauma center after she was in an accident that led to her vehicle flipping over several times.
Brick Township Police Sargent Jim Kelly said the accident happened Saturday, September 7 just before 8 p.m.
Michelle E. Piccione was driving north on Brick Boulevard approaching the intersection of Drum Point Road. Just after passing through the intersection, Piccione veered right leaving the roadway, striking a curb.
Her Jeep continued onto the property of Drum Point Arms Apartments, overturned and rolled several times before coming to final rest on the northeast corner of the Brick Boulevard entrance to Drum Point Arms Apartments.
Several police units and EMS responded to the scene.
Piccione was treated at the scene and transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with lower body and possible internal injuries.
Two northbound lanes on Brick Boulevard in the area of the crash were closed to traffic for two hours during the investigation.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by Ptl. Lampiasi and Ptl. Farnkopf of the Brick Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
Witnesses to the crash are urged to contact Ptl. Lampiasi at 732-262-1141.

What’s the chances a cell phone was involved. Brick has the worst freaking drivers!!!!
Michael Sean more like she’s young and misjudged the speed, the turn…I find the kids are much more respectful about not using the phones…seems more those in their 40’s and 50’s plus using them…see it on the parkway all the time
Michael Sean No, that award goes to Lakewood ?
Piper Sand see them on the parkway with the phones..what a damn hazard! But not such them or there..you can always know when they are on the phones…insane and far too many times it’s people that are long old enough to know better…see fat less kids on the phones driving..at least my experience
Laura McHale I agree. Any time I see someone using a phone while driving it’s 9/10 times a middle aged man. ??♀️
Really???? She’s a teenager, but doesn’t mean she was on the phone
Amber Lynn Yes…. one tried to run me off road for beeping at him bc he was on phone. Didn’t even realize traffic in front of him moved
Sharon Lynn Huber I’ve had assholes on their cells call in my plate because I told them to get off their cells.
????
There was just a Fatality in that area a week ago, the roads and lighting over there are awful!
My cousin lives in those apartments and horrible lighting over there !
Lisa Byrne the speeding is horrible. People fly down this road and the others like it . Like they are on a race track . Thankfully no one was killed . And that was right by the light and the Jeep was so close to the apartments thankfully it didn’t hit them or the people there ❤️ I hope the girl makes a Full recovery
People need to match their driving to the conditions of the road. It’s not “one size fits all”
A child got hurt and it doesn’t matter at this point other then hopefully she recovers. Everyone drives like an ass according to everyone. So it was an accident and a young girl is fighting!
Praying she recovers. She is someone daughter and family and friend. If it was ur relation u wouldn’t be so quick to say she was on phone or whatever
Jessica Davis I cant even look at some of these articles because people are so disgusting and trashy when it comes to being sympathetic
People are stupid and always assume the worst. Speedy recovery Michelle.
Hope she’s ok. Last night a little after 8pm I saw 2 ambulances and 2 police cars entering the parkway in brick heading north. I said it must be serious if the police are with them. Thinking it was from this accident.
Heather Farquharson this was on the corner on Durmpoint rd and Brick Blvd. I saw it
Becky Louise Weber yea I know but if they went to Jersey shore they would be getting on the parkway in Brick and going North
