That poor child ? as I said in another post..too close to home for me and my son. That poor child and his family…. my thoughts go out to you all ❤
Kim Zinenko
Your dog bites someone and you flee?? Thats horrible.
I don’t blame them, I would do anything to protect my dog from being put down, regardless of the situation.
Joshua Matthews its a tough spot to be in for sure .. but idk if i could just walk away from the child. But then again we dont know the whole senerio of what caused the bite.
Doesn’t say if they fled with the dog or without
Christina Ann I agree. Leaving a poor child torn up to protect a dog instead of calling for help and assisting is disgusting.
Sharon Lynn Huber good point.
It appears he was running away with dog leash/dog from the photos Police published ?♀️
Christina Ann agree 100%. No matter the scenario, you stay.
That dog going nighty night when they find it! Great job, “owner!”
Joshua Matthews it’s a child who needs extensive surgeries, You just don’t run away from something like that man up
I can’t believe people would side with the dog owner jesus ….dogs don’t typically get put down on their first attack they get quarantined and checked for rabies and such . Unless it wasn’t it’s first and that’s why the guy ran . Esp if that were the case then he’s an extremely irresponsible owner . Trash.
Its hard for me to not blame the owner. If the dog bit that child that badly, it makes me think the dog is aggressive which would be the owners fault already.
Joshua Matthews that is a irresponsible thought. Hope to God your family never deals with what this child has to go through, really
Patricia Lorraine Zennario time to save the dog and put the child down.
Joshua Matthews You are a real POS.
And did you read the comment from Joshua Mathews? Put the kid down? He is a whole new level of dirtbag!
Cindy Doty Heiart
Joshua Matthews not always are they put down. But it’s called a responsible pet owner. Clearly this guy has the same out look as you.
Joshua Matthews you need help, dude. Coming from a dog lover.
I pray for the child. If u know ur dog can be aggressive keep it away from all people. I’m an animal lover but irresponsible pet owners put their dogs in harm’s way when they attack ???

Hope they find that SOB! ? Praying for the child and the family!
Dogs aren’t even allowed on the beach until first week of October i believe, whoever it is will be screwed when they get them!!
Way to ruin it for everyone. Prayers for the child.
I hope to God that baby will be alright!
owner should be held responsible and the dog should be put down
The guy turned himself in. There’s an update on the Wildwood Police Page.

If my dog bit someone’s kid I’d put it down myself. Sorry to be blunt but that’s one of my rules.
Good for you. I agree with that if a dog bites people something is definitely not right
Arbor J Kruk going to do the same when your kid attacks someone?
Robert Lee don’t be stupid. If he attacks a kid for a stupid reason he will get reprehended. If it’s self
Defense I’m take him for ice cream
Arbor J Kruk that’s what I’m saying, if my dog attacked a kid (unprovoked) I would do the same
Gail Emma Or just maybe itw way the owner treats the dog! Dog can abused, acting out, maybe just needs a loving owner!!
That is why we have a justice system , to find out facts!! Maybe the kid was taunting the dog?
Wish some of you would put your kids down if they attacked someone. Just like you’d put your dog down if it attacked someone.

Glad he turned himself in.
Poor kid. Careless parents (and dog owner) to let a child pet a stranger’s pit bull.
Pete Mottola the dog was illegally on the beach as well.
the parents asked permission for the child to pet the dog.
Sad and terrible thing my daughter was bit in the face when she was little, I think it was more traumatic for me than her…poor kid and his family it’s very scary and especially to see your child in so much pain also…?
Dear God please heal this child completely without any permanent disabilities or deformities I asked it’s in your name amen
It’s hard to tell what kind of dog it is but we need to find out the whole story and what provoked the dog to bite this child.
Christine Mellen-Sloan the dog didn’t belong on the beach. So it’s the dog owners fault.
Karen Kennedy I understand that but still we need to find out the whole story.
Christine Mellen-Sloan irrelevant. Wouldn’t have happened if the owner didn’t ignore the ordinance.
Karen Kennedy not really because it could of happened on the boardwalk.
Christine Mellen-Sloan the dog bit this child and left her with serious injuries requiring “extensive surgeries” according to article I read. I’m not interested in what “provoked” the animal to attack her. It did attack her. End of story!
Joanne Linkchorst yes I understand that and it’s sad that it happened but just saying how people are so quick to judge before they find out the story. I was saying it could of happened anywhere to anyone but the owner should of had control too.
Christine Mellen-Sloan but it didn’t.
Karen Kennedy wow ok
Christine Mellen-Sloan where it “could’ve” happened is irrelevant. It happened on the beach.. the dog isn’t supposed to be on the beach.
This isn’t about other dogs. Different scenarios. Other countries, a different town or state. It’s a specific incident.
Karen Kennedy ok
Prayers to the child and his family.
