TOMS RIVER – A fast-thinking mother performed CPR on her 2-year-old daughter after the girl drowned in the family pool.
When police arrived at the Maine Street house just before noon Thursday, they found the mother holding her daughter on her lap. The girl was pale and lethargic, having regained consciousness after her mother performed CPR.
Toms River Police Officer John Mehl took the girl, inverted her, and caused the girl to vomit up water twice.
Silverton EMS took the mother and daughter to Community Medical Center for treatment.
?
So the 2 year old was unattended by the pool?
Jeff Fedak stop
Jeff Fedak
Fuking jerkoff
You got some balls
If you have kids you know it only takes a second to be distracted, and don’t act like it’s never happened
If you don’t have kids then STFU cause you have no idea how shit happens!!
Either way shut you Fuking big mouth and just be thankful that , that lil girls mother n the TRPD saved her life
FUKING TROLL
Jeff Fedak am I missing something…..how did you get from the extremely vague story that the child was unattended?? Did we read the same article?
Relax People Hes asking a Question we ALL WANT TO KNOW !! ..If its not written why not ask Maybe someone knows exactly what Happened !!!
Jeff Fedak worry about yourself.
Seriously ppl were responsible for our kids right.. Well i have a pool where i live n take the precaution of not bringing both my kida since the baby pool isnt gated off from the big.. Its called being responsible.. Simple.. That pool should have been fenced or gated no?? Drowning is more silent that violent.. Eyes should always b on kids near open water..
Brindle Lyn Lyn thank god the mother was responsible and gave CPR. You as a mother should know it only takes a second. And you dumb ass, she was already in the pool.
Brindle Lyn Lyn exactly
Rikki Cornelisse calling me names isn’t going to fix the problem, that’s why there fences removable ladders I had 2 kids & non of them were in the water in distress they were in front of me.I dont know how you would feel if kid drowned on your watch. Give you an example was at a house mother on her phone kid slides under water by the stairs heard nothing, I was working on an appliance & caught it because I was walking back to the truck for a tool. Reached in & pulled the kid out thank God nothing happened cause I would have felt guilty also . But you can add cell phone distraction to not paying attention to an unattended child
Brindle Lyn Lyn there was a post on Facebook going around a full blown party going child drowned got spotted after the fact , flew the kid out spend time in the Nick – u for awhile & the mother wrote about .
Maura Lee sorry I cant .because we are the people that come out for the rescue .
Probably another forgot she had kids story….

Thank god they got to her in time.
Good job mom! Prayers for a speedy recovery. ??????
My 2 y.o. jumped in my pool, while I was in it. I was under water and he jumped in, in a way that caused no splash. I didnt know until I came up, to my husband sprinting across the yard, yelling. Mind you, this was with the gate closed, he squeezed through the back of the steps. I got him as soon as I saw him and he was fine. We closed that area up and added another gate at the top of the steps.
Point is….it can happen in the blink of an eye, with you right there.
So happy that mom knew what to do. Good job, to all involved. ❤
Lauren Cirillo Johnson maybe this was what we were talking about?
Hope she has no long lasting effects from this…
Sad but, kudos to the mom for fast thinking and the PD for responding so quickly. This could have been a tragic ending. As a parent sometimes you panic so much and can’t even think, this mom did a great job by responding quickly and thank god she knew how to perform CPR. Some parents don’t and I think all parents should know how and take a course. I myself am CPR certified as, most of my sons life since birth we lived on a lagoon. Great job Mom and the PD♥️
Frank this is why I want to start his swim classes in sept/October whenever the end of season classes are. I should be able to get him to them having a new work schedule
Melissa Horner I read this headline earlier
Frank Horner their last 6 week class is oct 28 to dec 11
Thank God the Mom knew CPR, and thank God the little girl will be ok. So very dangerous with kids & pools, cant take your eyes off them, its very scary all kids if not trained swimmers should wear life jacket or those swimmy things, just cause of this incident..
I know this I grew up with a pool myself, but I dont have children, my children are my dogs & they wear life jackets??.❤❣❤
Good job mom!!
Bobby we should all know cpr ! Thank god this mom did!
