To what? Going out!? ?♂️
Lol… the first of many bogus lawsuits.
Lol…blame the new kid on the block
A person who is allergic conveniently forgot an allergy
Scott Barnes you can also all the sudden be allergic to something you’ve been fine with for years.
Scott Barnes could have eaten something that contained an ingredient they never had before and didn’t know they were allergic to. Could have been cross-contamination during preparation. Could have unknowingly contained an ingredient of a known allergy (I was involved in a case where a person died after eating a cinnamon raisin bagel because it contained nuts puréed in the batter that he was not aware of).
Scott Barnes I’ve been served drinks with liquor made from what I’m allergic too. Chambord for example. Almost killed me while at Caffreys. Someone bought a shot for me and it was in there.
I’ve also had cross contamination at ice cream places, the scoop had strawberry on it, and it does t take much.
Scott Barnes my son is allergic to peanuts. The biggest risk with his allergy is cross contamination. He always asks when he goes out if what he orders is peanut free however, what you can’t control is what happens in the kitchen. A cook re uses a bowl or utensil that touches any peanut product without proper washing….bam he gets a life threatening allergic reaction. This is my biggest fear
Or…they may have requested certain ingredients be left out and they weren’t
Jeanette Maarleveld That’s what happened to me.
Sarah Cioffi in all reality, it’s the patrons responsibility to advise as to any and all KNOEN allergies. Any hospitalization occurs all past medical history is brought out more this alleviating any restaurant responsibility
Scott Barnes did you read what I said? It’s both the patron and the restaurant’s responsibility. If the patron advises the the restaurant about their allergy but the restaurant doesn’t take cross contamination in to consideration then the fault lies with the establishment. I know there are some places where it can’t or is difficult to avoid cross contamination such as Thai restaurants, commercial bakeries and Chinese, my son avoids these knowing this is the case. It’s difficult and very stressful to live with a life threatening allergy
Kathleen Patricia this has happened to me as well- and alcohol is usually the last thing you’d think of reacting too. But I have some major food allergies (some fruits and peanuts/nuts included) and so I have to even be super careful about what I’m drinking!!
Hope they’re ok that’s scary
Didn’t they just open???
Nope they been open for like 30 years now. Go back to bed!
Your comment makes no scene , the Toms River location just opened this week or something. Go back to bed , really?
Michael Mchale go back to bed old man , they just had there soft opening on June 26. Try to keep up with the time!
They had grand opening july 1
Alison Caulfield yes , but soft opening June 26th.
someone pissed in someone Cheerios
Sam Fennell nah I just don’t like ignorant comments .
It was just a question
Sam Fennell no someone told me to “ go back to bed “
Christian Borer are you sleeping right now?
Christian Borer I think he was being sarcastic
Christian Borer go back to bed man
Allergic to BJ’s? That really “sucks.”
They just opened
Michele Towers Murphy ???
It was a worker people…relax ?
Info please…
Hope they’re ok. Has anybody tried that place yet?
Yep, it was actually pretty good.
Also expensive . 15 dollar burgers
Must have seen there check
Ed Tamburr place is definitely on the expensive side almost 14$ for a regular hamburger that was a hockey puck when I ordered medium and both burger and fries were greasy and had no flavor and place was dead took over 20 mins to get a refill on the drink I won’t be going back for awhile lol
Erica Gordon they just opened geez everyone thinks they’re a food critic
Scott Barnes having opened many a restaurant, they should really be on their A game. If its dead and it took 20 minutes to get a refill, that’s unacceptable. This is where managers learn to weed out the weakest links
I was there. Everything we ordered they didn’t have including baked potatoes. Brought my meal out and 20 mins later my boyfriends. Place is ridiculous!! Service sucked
Pikul Suzanne Karla It’s new. It happens with every restaurant that’s why I always like to wait to try a new place after a couple months. We love going out to eat for the service and convenience. So why let it be ruined by “trial” runs. Lol
Lisa Ehlers Jesse yes I know I was thinking the same thing plus it was mobbed
Very easy to happen, I went to buffet, habatchi and they guy on the grill was cooking my beef and broccoli and someone else shrimp using same spatula,
I refused the order
Why, may I ask?
Leo Sprague why what
Leo Sprague if he’s allergic to shellfish (shrimp) he will have a reaction from his food being cooked with same spatula.
Sharon Lynn Huber thank you Sharon.
Leo Sprague someone who has an allergy to seafood cannot have any contact whatsoever with seafood or they will have a reaction. They can’t even kiss someone who has eaten seafood within a certain period of time or they will have a reaction.
I had a reacting touching a raw lobster
I have ordered things that didn’t list it had mushrooms and dinner comes & there are mushrooms on it. I’m allergic to them but not severely allergic. It makes me fearful for those who are. I hope the person is ok.
