Update on the earlier story on Egret ave .
A 500 lb pig, weapons,and ammo were seized from a TR home, following a search after a Tom’s river man turned himself into Police Headquarters.
Joe kelly arrives at Headquarters and told officers he may have a warrant for his arrest.
As police investigated, they found a loaded shotgun in his vehicle which was serving no legitimate purpose, Mr Kelly was later charged and taken to the Hospital for a medical Evaluation.
Based on statements Kelly made during his detention his Egret ave home was checked for safety of area residents and other occupants.
The home was Vacant but additional weapons and ammo was recovered.
Due to the unknowledge of the munitions the NJSP Bomb Squad arrived and removed everything as a precautionary measure.
Ocean County Prosecutors office assisted, animal control remove the 500 lb pig from the home for safe keeping.
Egret drive has been closed for hours but is now open
