The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Edward Krogman (62 or Seaside Heights) was arrested by detectives of the Seaside Heights Police Department for Failure to Register As a Sex Offender in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:7-2d(1).

“Since 1994, Megan’s Law requires certain offenders to register with their local police departments whenever they move and/or change their residential address. Failure to comply with this obligation is a third degree crime”

Krogman’s offense was that he had moved from his last known address while failing to register or notify any law enforcement agencies. Krogman is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

“My office, in conjunction with local police departments will be vigilant in making sure individuals required to register under Megan’s Law are in compliance with their obligations”
