BARNEGAT – After eluding police for almost two months, authorities say an alleged serial car burglar is behind bars.

Barnegat Police arrested 35-year-old Kevin Cunningham on Tuesday after a number of burglaries and thefts dating back to March, April and one last week in the Southern Ocean County area.

Cunningham was wanted by Stafford Township Police for the incidents and for allegedly using stolen credit cards at ShopRite and Costco.  

The most recent burglary took place in Cedar Run on the morning of May 3 and was captured on a RING camera.

Cunningham is lodged in the Ocean County Jail and faces a number of theft charges.
