German discount grocer Lidl is planning to open another New Jersey store – this one on Route 9 in Howell at the site of a former Best Buy.
The sale of the 30,000-square foot space was completed Monday, according to Maurice Zekaria of Paramount Realty, which previously owned the building. Lidl didn’t immediately respond to a request for additional information on Tuesday morning. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lidl has 50 stores in seven states on the East Coast. Its other current New Jersey locations are in Eatontown, Hazlet, Union and Vineland.
Lidl should come to TR and take the old Babies R Us, Kmart, or Foodtown.
Ocean County Scanner News yea, more german stuff is a great idea.

Thomas Brophy Thought something else was to go there.
Beth Lane … According to Mayor Ducey, he knows of no activity involving that space. A popular rumor was ShopRite opening 2nd Brick location, but nothing definite on that either.
