Brick: Earlier today we shared an article about Lidl, the Grocery Store, taking over the old Best Buy in Howell. That location will join the Lacey store, which is currently under construction. But wait- There’s more!
In a recent discussion with Brick Mayor Ducey, he informed the public that Lidl is coming to town also. He stated that Lidl will be occupying the former Cost Cutters in the Riverwalk Plaza. Lidl will join Buffalo Wild Wings, Outback, White Castle, Harbor Freight, and other stores at the center.
So what’s Toms River’s problem? Why is TR so business unfriendly? Brick is also getting a Trader Joe’s grocery store in the old Ethan Allen furniture store at Brick Plaza. Lidl is a German company with massive expansion plans set for NJ. Maybe we will see more stores soon?

Better location would have been where the old Pathmark was. This is going to cause a traffic nightmare with Trader Joe’s on the other side of Brick Blvd. ??

David Accardo I guess you never noticed how crowded ShopRite and Stop n Shop are. I’m not sure if you were in Brick when we had Shop Rite, A&P across the street, Foodtown in 70 and the Pathmark in the Laurelton plaza.

David Accardo then you can agree that these two stores will barely put a scratch in the crowds at ShopRite and Stop n Shop. I do agree that something in the PathMark plaza would have been better for the folks in the north side of town but I wanted to be jockey ? too… so can’t always get what you wish for

Great idea. I love the one in Eatontown. It’s a step up from Aldi because they have a fresh bakery, much better meat selection and great produce.
