MANCHESTER – A Chesterfield (Burlington County) man has been arrested in connection throwing objects at vehicles on Route 539 back in February.
Anthony Lewis, 35, was charged with 31 counts of criminal mischief, 31 counts of interference with transportation, and 31 counts of reckless endangerment of another person.
Between December and March, more than 41 vehicles traveling in Ocean County were struck with objects thrown from a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Most of the attacks occurred along Route 539 in Plumsted on Feb. 14, when 15 cars sustained damage.

No excuses whatsoever 35 years old should know better he must be mentally disturbed he should go to prison for 20 years at happened to me with my alley mother and the card dying of cancer when a person threw a brick right through our windshields thank God I control the car and my mom or me one not hurt but a little boy in a pick up truck with his dad wasn’t so lucky he couldn’t lost his eyes a little boy’s face was cut so badd they kids were throwing bricks ran alongside the New Jersey turnpike in through-and-through 15 Cars and including passenger Busses and week what them I ran after And I caught one the judge slapped him on a wrist when a fine which shall never pay and a year’s probation big deal they could have killed someone there is no excuse he should do 20 years in prison no sympathy for him what so ever
