They should close that place down already
civil matter / small claims court. not a police issue or criminal matter. use a card next time like the rest of the world.
John Nelson they will make someone regret getting called.
Is it only a civil matter when a business’ employee commits theft? Because it’s definitely criminal to shoplift from the register. I would think shortchanging someone would be like misdemeanor theft.
Wonder how much its worth to complain about and involve the police.
Really how stupid is that at least they didnt steal
All the manager had to do was audit the drawer. No police needed
?♀️
Omg ..that’s insane
yup another that should be fined for a frivolous PD call and a customer does NOT have the right to do this
Scott A Barnes what is a customer’s ideal course of action if short-changed? If it happened to me, I’d consider it theft, and I’d call PD as a last resort if management refused to count the drawer/play back tapes.
Assuming the amount is material, that is.
Steph VanPelt it takes 5 minutes to count the drawer. Now depending on the behavior and attitude of the customer. Act all holier than thou or the defunct “ customer is always right” stuff. I may tell customer to call corporate. That’s the part we don’t know
Scott A Barnes I know it’s fast and easy, but suppose it’s the manager you suspect?
Yes, calling corporate is also an option, I agree. But if I were the customer I wouldn’t be confident that corporate would resolve my issue.
Steph VanPelt also depends on what the policies are.
Do people not have anything better to do?
You owe me 5 cents!
Manager should have just done a drawer count.
Crystalie Matulewicz Sadly, that doesn’t always satisfy the customer. Had to do that years ago when I worked at the Dollar Tree and when the drawer count showed that the change given was correct the woman then started accusing me of pocketing the money (even though I had no pockets)… ?
Lol I had one get pissed and cause chaos because it was 815 am n we couldn’t give her cash back, lady we open at 8 am, I only have till money, she started yellin and filming me so I called the pd to have her removed. I feel ya ???
WTH?
Get over it and move on
Wheres my 2 dollars
Sounds like my deceased nazi grandmother
Wanna do something really funny? Buy something for 2.11 hand the kid a 5 and dime. Then the confusion starts.. Lol lucky they have a computer to figure this mess out for them..
19 nuggets instead of 20!! I’d get the cops involved too!!! ???
