Jackson Police Department News Release
Death Investigation
At approximately 10:01 am on Tuesday March 19, 2019, the Jackson Police Department received a call in reference to a 39 year old male threatening suicide with a gun.
Upon arrival at the male’s residence, responding officers determined that the male was not home and began an attempt to locate him. The investigation resulted in officers locating the male deceased from a single gunshot wound in a vehicle which was parked at the Jackson Premium Outlets.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and there does not appear to be any danger to the general public.

What should be done is every hospital.should have a rehab center attached to it. Either the patient goes in voluntarily or court ordered. The rehabs should take ALL insurances including Medicaid!! I’m not an expert on addiction however I have worked with addicts several years ago. I ran across so many roadblocks, not enough beds, waiting lists, no insurance, etc…etc…I couldn’t do it anymore, I was getting really depressed.
Alot of these people have traumatic events that have happened in their lives and cannot cope so they turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Others were injured in accidents and were not able to get anymore pain meds so they turned to drugs. Who are we to judge? We all have made poor decisions. Although I hear about addicts more now than back then.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Not good
