Toms River: Magnolia Gardens– Unsafe Conditions. TRFD responded to a hazardous condition at the facility. Now OEM & EMS Coordinators are on scene calling for 5 buses to relocate patients. Parts of the building are shut down it sounds like, and residents can not stay there tonight.

Mobile Command Unit from Brick Township requested.

Patients are being relocated to other parts of the building. Additional manpower needed to move patients as all elevators are inoperable at this time due to the water leak

8 patients have been moved at this time. A total of 80 patients need to be moved. Toms River Regional Schools on scene with 5 buses along with Brick Mobile Command Unit and Medical buses from local ambulance companies.

 

Second & Third Floor have been evacuated. First floor is being evacuated at this time and then JCP&L will be cutting the power.

Evacuation from the site is complete.  Water has been cut off, and JCP&L is cutting the electricity.

At this time we are not aware of the location where everyone was evacuated to, or if it is only a temporary holding location while further arrangements are being made.

The building has been confirmed as completely evacuated, and posted as being an Unsafe Structure.

A restoration company is on scene to start work.

Approx 46 went to Laurelton in Brick and approx 26 went to Bey Lea. 8 went home with family. 7 stayed at Complete Care. — Paul L Daley, Toms River OEM Comand
