On January 29th, 2019 Bradley D. Billhimer (Ocean County Prosecutor) announced that detectives of the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force had conducted a surveillance operation during a street level narcotics suppression detail, and observed two individuals make what appeared to be a drug deal.

Officers said they saw Luke Delaney meet with Peter Fischler on January 24th, 2019 and distribute a quantity of heroine to Fischler in the Home Depot parking lot at 1334 Lakewood Rd, in Toms River, NJ. As Strike Force Detectives approached both men, Fischler attempted to conceal a quantity of heroin. As a result of the arrests, approximately twenty individual dosage units of heroin along with two hypodermic needles were recovered.

Luke Delaney, 22 of Jackson, NJ was arrested and charged with:

  • Distribution of Less Than One Half Ounce of Heroin
  • Possession of Less Than One Half Ounce of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Heroin

Delaney was transported to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Peter Fischler, 38 of Manchester, NJ was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Heroin
  • Hindering Apprehension
  • Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe

Fischler was processed and released pending a future court date.
