TOMS RIVER – The recreation building at Riverwood Park will open to homeless during the freezing temperatures the next few nights.
The building, located off Whitesville Road, will be open during the following times:
- Monday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
- Tuesday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
- Wednesday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
The current Code Blue law opens up shelters when the temperature reaches 32 degrees with precipitation, or 25 degrees without precipitation.
For more information, call 386-315-0168 or visit HavenStreets.Org.
Additional warming centers are also open in Lakewood on Code Blue nights.
So after 8:30 we throw these people outside in the cold. Way to go Toms River.
Teresa Jasinski lot of them get plugged into services in the community or have jobs.
Teresa Jasinski at least it covers the below freezing times and so they can sleep without freezing.
Lets shoot up …now we have a place to crash !
you’re a dumbass lmao . just because they’re homeless doesn’t mean they’re on drugs & either way doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a place to sleep . it’s cold outside . how about you go spend tonight outside ?

Know one should be homeless .. The people from a nothet country come first for help and housing the rest of use are left to deal with it
Can they hook a brother up with a new furnace and hot water heater?
