It’s time to renew your dog licenses. State law requires that licenses be renewed each year for dogs over seven months old. To purchase a dog license, owners must have a current rabies shot certificate for each dog with an expiration date after Nov. 1, 2019.

So with that in mind, don’t miss the Toms River Animal Facility’s free rabies clinic, coming up on Jan. 19. The clinic will be open 10 a.m. to noon at 235 Oak Ave.

Residents must bring written proof of a prior rabies vaccination shot to ensure that the new shot will be good for three years. No adjustments will be made to rabies shot certificates after the clinic.
