Denise Falone Ferriolo I can tell you from first hand experience many of the people that go to court ordered “rehab” or “program”are only there because it’s a way to avoid jail time or a steeper penalty. I don’t want to go into detail but my family dealt with someone that went there for mental health issues and came out addicted to heroin…when asked how he got it…he admitted…”friends at program” . These programs and systems are seriously flawed and need to be overhauled.

Most private insurance only covers 30-90 days in inpatient rehabs.most rehabs only that take private insurance and even the Medicaid ones Medicaid will only cover 30-90 days. Anything after that you better hope a rehab will sponsor you or you’re screwed out of treatment. And suboxone and those alike are also NOT free. I’ve met girls who have sold themselves for a week just to pay for suboxone. I have both had to go to treatment and have worked in treatment. It’s not as easy as you think so don’t make assumptions.
