JACKSON – A 20-year-old man was charged with numerous drug offenses.
Jackson Township Police Officer Wes Thomason stopped a 1993 Buick on North County Line Road around 12:12 a.m. on October 5. He found a hypodermic needle and suspected it filled with heroin, Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia. He was additionally charged with hindering apprehension after providing police with a false name. It was discovered he had an outstanding warrant from Pemberton Township.
The man was processed and released, and has a pending court date in Jackson and another in Pemberton.
The 23-year-old male driver was ticketed for equipment violations and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Jackson Township Police does not release names of those arrested.
