Toms River: A few weeks ago, someone came and boarded up all the rooms (again) and put up the construction fence around the property. The fence goes all the way around, and was needed due to trespassers. Beyond us doing two live shoots, there were reports of drug use and homeless people staying on the condemned structure.
Let’s hope this is truly the end of the motel, and the wrecking ball will be on scene shortly. This is supposed to get knocked down for a world-class DoubleTree Hotel one day. There was a pending lawsuit holding up the new hotel construction, but maybe it has been settled finally?
