“Seaside Heights Hit and Run

On Sunday, July 29, 2018 at approximately 10:49 pm, the Seaside Heights Police Department responded to the area of Sheridan Avenue and Central Avenue for a report of a Hit and Run involving a pedestrian.

The subsequent investigation by Seaside Heights PD, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CIU found that a Black Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on Central Avenue approaching the intersection of Sheridan Avenue. As the Black Dodge Ram exited the intersection the vehicle struck a pedestrian, Danielle Cangelosi, 25, of Kingston, NY, who was walking eastbound on Sheridan Avenue. Cangelosi was thrown approximately 20 feet north on Central Avenue by the impact. The Black Dodge Ram then left the scene continuing northbound on Central Avenue. As a result, Cangelosi was transported to Community Medical Center for her injuries.

The only further description regarding the Black Dodge Ram is a partial NJ license plate with the letters TJ.  Anyone with information, or who had witnessed the accident, is asked to contact the Seaside Heights Police Department at 732-793-1800 or the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027 Ext. 3257.”
